This is from the second halfof day 2. These are pics from the East Ridge
, we stoppped here for lunch and a homebrew @ 9700 ft, tasted pretty durn good. We took a short hike to the summit and finished the day we a little drive to take in a nice SE Oregon sunset.

Dee-the white stuff on the mountain sides is snow. There was still quite a few spots with snow on them. One regular visitor to the Steens area said that it actually pretty early for the road to the top to be open.
Nice country down there. Or should I say up there.
Such beautiful country... love these shots, especially the sunset! Always a sucker for a sunset...
That was quite a Man Trip you were on. Terrific shots of a very interesting and picturesque area.
