Winter Sunset

Dusk in the orchard
Was out to the farm last Saturday, went for a walk after dinner as the last of the light from the sunset was fading. Digital capture in these conditions makes for some interesting affects. I used photoshop to enhance the looks I got from the exposures. I was looking for something a little rough, a little edgy. Theo hanging out at the end of one of the orchard rows.
These trees had been severly pruned, and that allowed the available light to come thru canopy of leaves, a pool of soft light in the darkness.

sunny fall day
Again too long between post, sorry, just so busy. I snapped these on 10-22, a beautiful fall day, and after all the rain and gray we've had prior to this it seemed all the more beautiful. I was in kind of a rush this day, but in sort of a mood too, looking for something different, so I put some plastic wrap around my lens and smeared it with vasoline, I love this effect, especially on a sunny day. Also on the 30D you can customize picture styles, so I adjusted the sharpness and contrast and color saturation way down so as to emmulate the dreamy softness of the holga, these are what I came up with.

fade away
These are from Eric and Tami's wedding day. They wanted to take a couple of shots down at the the end of the orchard in the last of the evening light. I made it, they had to do something like sign the paper work to make their wedding legal....details, details.......Anyway a couple more shots from the wedding and from the orchard.
