Mother's Day

A day off for Mother's Day, took advantage of a trip out to the farm and took a couple of shots of Monte Cristo Rd. There was a wall of black clouds to the East that was very compelling, and I'm a sucker for a shot of just about any road. One shot is to the West the other to the East. Which way to go........

Something different

Some shots from a couple of years ago. Stumbled across them while looking for something to post, haven't had much time to get out lately.

moving on

Daffodills are fading. Tulips are on their way. They say warmer weather is on the way, I'll belive it when it's here.

Diverse week

Last week I shot teams at the state dance competition and the trophy games at the 5A and 6A boy basketball championships. The dance teams are from the show division. These dance teams incorporate elaborate sets and props in their routines. The basketball is from the 6A champonship game.

Sunny Sunday

Made a quick runout to the farm last weekend. Was a nice day, took the girl and took a walk. The orchard was unusually uninspired, so I busted some plastic wrap and slapped some goo on the lens. Couldn't find a shot of the trees I liked, but I got a few of Amy I liked.

3A-State basketball

Spent most of last week shooting the 3A state championships. I really enjoy the way the kids play at this levels.

Spring?

It's not Spring just yet, but these new blooms tell me that it's not too far away.

Tabled

Not sure what it was about these tables, but I spent a good deal of time contemplating them. This was from a camping trip back in November at Silver Falls State Park.

Expansion

In the course of a little more than three years my homebrewing hobby/obsession has grown from a 4 gallon pot on the stove to the 3 tiered set up you see here. Thanks to my brother James for the converted keg that is now my boil kettle it works pretty slick and I can now make a 10 gallon batch as easily as a 5 gallons. Also pictured is the first batch from this set up, didn't quite produce the 9 gallons I was planning, but I think it's going to be pretty good stuff.

Christmas Eve in black and white

A couple of shots from the same walk, only in black and white.

Christmas Eve in the Orchard

My family and i spent Christmas Eve and Christmas day out at the farm. Took the dogs for a walk Monday afternoon and the sun came out for a while, and lit the trees up quite nicely I thought.

Boogity

Just wanted to update, but haven't shot much but sports lately. Jumped in the wayback machine and came across this pic of Booger, that was the cats name, and he earned that name. Booger is no longer with us in body, but will always be with us in spirit. Word of advice, don't go poking the boogity if you don't have too.

Kids at the beach

T-day at the beach was great. The weather was super. Often the coast is fogged in and cloudy, but for the couple of days we were there it was really nice, a little cool but sunny. The kids love waiting for the wave to come up and then run away.....I could watch them do this all day.

Happy Thanksgiving

Did something different for T-day this year. While we had all the classic Thanksgiving fare, we took it on the road. My family and the in-laws went camping on the Oregon Coast. Grandma got everything ready ahead of time, except the spuds, and we had a great meal.
